For Donors & Sponsors

80 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to trade school scholarships. The remaining 20 cents covers campaign costs including payment processing, outreach, committee administration, and impact reporting.

Yes. Check the anonymous box on the donation form and your name will not be listed publicly on any campaign materials.

For Students

Four categories of students may apply: high school seniors entering trade programs, adults changing careers, current trade students with financial need, and veterans transitioning to skilled trades. See the Apply page for full eligibility requirements.

Yes โ€” the institution you are attending must be located in Florida or South Carolina. You do not need to be a current resident of FL or SC, but the school must be located in one of these states.

Programs must lead to employment in a skilled trade. Qualifying fields include electrical, HVAC/R, plumbing, carpentry, welding, automotive/diesel, marine mechanics, CDL/commercial driving, masonry, roofing, construction technology, and related fields. Programs must be at least 300 clock hours.

Yes. Veterans are encouraged to apply even if they receive GI Bill or other VA benefits. NRC awards may be stacked with federal benefits to reduce remaining out-of-pocket costs.

Your personal statement (400โ€“700 words) should explain: why you are pursuing this specific trade, what financial or other barriers you are facing, and what this scholarship will make possible for your career. Authenticity and specificity matter more than perfect grammar.

Applications open 30 days after the campaign launch. The deadline is 60 days after applications open. Bookmark the Apply page โ€” the form will be live there when the window opens.

Funds are paid directly to your institution on your behalf whenever possible. If direct institutional payment is not available, funds are issued by check with a written acknowledgment of authorized use. Recipients must confirm enrollment at disbursement.

Students may not receive more than one NRC scholarship award in the same academic year. You may reapply in future award cycles.

If you withdraw, any unused funds must be returned to NRC within 30 days of program discontinuation. Recipients are also required to complete a brief post-award survey 6 months after receiving the scholarship.
